Versions of the operating system shall be Android 5.0 or higher.

Unfortunately, it is not compatible with iOS.

When connecting to an external GPS by Bluetooth (radio communication), the Bluetooth must be installed on the terminal.

  • Bluetooth versions are not questioned, but SPPs (Serial Port Profiles) must be available.
  • Whether SPP is supported or not may not be publicly disclosed, but most SPP can be used if the Bluetooth is installed.

Connecting with external GPS and USB

  • The terminal must be compatible with the USB Host Function, but it is often not officially announced whether or not it is compatible with the USB Host Function.
  • Even if the response is announced to be supported (if the response is reported on the Internet), the connection to other devices such as GPS may not be supported due to the response of the keyboard, mouse, or USB memory.

Power Supply and Charging

  • To supply power while using USB-connected GPSs, bifurcated USB-OTG (USBOn The Go) cables are required, but some models cannot supply power, and some models cannot supply power simultaneously with USB-connected GPSs.
  • There is no information on whether or not the USB and power supply can be performed at the same time, and it is only necessary to link them.
  • Feeding by bifurcated USB-OTG cables is up to 0.0 5A, and depending on the model, the power supply may not catch up (i.e., the battery may be consumed).
  • Even if you connect to the Bluetooth or use the terminal alone, depending on the terminal, the power from the adaptor may not be supplied in time and the battery may be consumed (may not be kept for a day).
  • The current consumption may be improved by suppressing (darkening) the backlight (increasing the driving time).It also depends on performance and screen size.Experience has shown that a balance is important if the screen is not too large, too bright, or too good in performance.

We mainly use Google’s NEXUS9/NEXUS7 (2013)/NEXUS5 in the field. However, as the NEXUS9 consumes more current than the power supply, we believe that we need to reduce the brightness of the backlights in order to use the backlights in the field.The NEXUS7/5 is well-balanced, but not already sold.

Differences between connection methods

USB wired connection
Various GPS / GNSS can be connected from medium accuracy to high accuracy. On the other hand,the current situation is that there are many problems on the terminal side, such as the inability to connect via USB as described in「About the tablet」above and restrictions on power supply.
Radio access by Bluetooth
Stable connection is possible with almost no problems of compatibility between the terminal and GPS and power supply.

On the other hand, there are very few models that support it, and the problem is that “medium-precision ones have difficulty in accuracy compared to USB connection” and “high-precision ones are expensive”.
It is also possible to use a commercially available Bluetooth / serial converter (eg:RATOC REX-VT60 etc.)connected to GPS with RS232C output.

Other frequently asked questions

Q: I use AgriBus-G +, but the arrow goes to the left even if I move forward. Is the setting strange?

A: This may happen when two AgriBus-G + antennas are installed side by side. Set “GNSS antenna position” in the settings to “90 or -90 when applying multi-antenna GNSS”.

Q: When it starts and becomes “H / SlNGLE”, the arrow indicating the car body on the screen turns 90 degrees to the right. It will proceed on the screen while facing sideways.

A: Please make sure that the AgriBus-NAVI app is the latest version, and in the “GNSS antenna position” setting, set “Multi-antenna GNSS …” to 90 or -90 and try. . In addition, if you can press the “Set current measurement value to drift value” button in the “Adjust gyro” setting, the direction will stabilize.
